Finding An RV To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse In: Tips For You

Posted on

When you are looking to purchase yourself a new RV, you may begin to wonder whether or not your should choose an RV that will help you survive the zombie apocalypse like in your favorite zombie television shows and movies like The Walking Dead. If you want to purchase an RV that will help you and your loved ones to survive a zombie apocalypse or any other "end of civilization as you known it," event, get to know some of the key factors to keep in mind. Then, when you hit the RV sales in your area, you will know what to look for to suit your apocalypse survival needs.

Find the Right Combination of Size and Fuel Efficiency

When you are selecting and RV that will get you through the perils of a zombie apocalypse, you may find it difficult to find fuel. As such, even though RVs are not the most fuel efficient vehicles, you do want to try to find one that gets the most miles to the gallon possible. Also, you may want to consider a diesel RV that could eventually be converted to a biodiesel vehicle. Diesel fuel, in general, is less processed and both standard and biodiesel may be easier to come across in the case of a society-crushing apocalypse.

However, along with the fuel economy of your RV, you have to keep in mind the size you need. If your whole family had to travel and stay in the RV, plus anyone else important in your life, think about the minimum space you would need to make it traveling and sleeping. Find a balance between your fuel economy and size needs and remember you can carry extra fuel with you (if needed) should you need a larger RV.

Consider RVs With Solar Arrays

Some RVs today come complete with not only electrical hookups but also solar arrays. Solar arrays are solar panels built into the roof of the RV that can supplement power for you when you are off the grid.

While solar panels are nice to save on electricity under normal circumstances, in apocalypse-grade situations, they can be a lifesaver. Instead of having to go out and try to start a campfire in the open or try to cook in the rain, you can use the solar power gathered from the panels to light the stove, oven, or microwave in your RV.

And remember, if the RV you purchase does not already have solar panels or needs more to suit your needs in the zombie apocalypse, you can always have them added. Then, you will be all set with electricity when the apocalypse hits.

Every little advantage you can get counts during the apocalypse. Now that you know a few of the factors to consider when finding an RV to survive in, you can be sure that you find the perfect RV for you and your family. For more information, check out RV sales in your area.
